Presentation of the company

Léo François is a family-owned company that has been in operation for over 75 years and has two production sites totaling 25,000 square meters in the north of France, in Fourmies and Hautmont.

The company currently employs more than 100 qualified people and has a turnover of 25 million euros.

More than 50% of its turnover is generated internationally, mainly in Germany, Portugal, Argentina, Romania, Slovakia, and other countries. As a specialist in cutting and stamping,

Léo François supports you from the design of your project’s metal parts to the assembly of the finished product, using its expertise and experience.

Our design and methods department works closely with its clients to offer them advantageous solutions in terms of performance, ergonomics, and profitability. Our facilities’ capacity allows us to produce high-quality technical parts in medium and large series.

Léo François has focused on a variety of sectors: construction, heavy goods, automotive, appliances, office furniture, handling, containers, and more.

Our technical diversification now allows us to open up new markets: supports for photovoltaic panels, automotive parts for electric vehicles, stainless steel parts for heat pumps, stainless steel flanges for particle filters, and more.

In addition to its core activity of cutting and stamping, the company also offers tube bending, as well as expertise in mechanized welding and riveting.

Quality and reactivity are at the heart of our concerns. Don’t hesitate to contact Léo François to study your future projects. Our commercial team is available to listen to your needs.

Our expertise

Our know-how is rich in numerous experiences that we have made with our customers in various industries such as the automotive industry, rail transport, rail industry, agriculture, solar industry, office furniture, etc. We try to make this multilayered expertise available to all of our customers. Some cost-saving opportunities can already be found at the beginning of a project, such as reducing thicknesses or producing more complex parts that avoid assembly operations. Our specialty is the production of highly precise structural parts. Due to the size of our presses, we can cover a wide range of stamping needs: from small (20 mm) to large (1000 mm x 1200 mm), from thin (0.4 mm) to thick (10 mm). We have acquired a solid experience in processing metals such as

  • high-strength steels,
  • stainless steels
  • and aluminum.

Team overview

LEO FRANCOIS is a team of 100 people at your service, spread over two production sites located 50 km apart.

Because we believe that communication is a key element in effective cooperation, our sales and logistics teams speak three languages in addition to French: English, German and Spanish. To facilitate exchanges, a technical sales representative is personally responsible for each customer.

We strive to maintain a flat hierarchical structure as close to the ground and the customer as possible. We are driven by common sense, good humor, good will, and good faith.

Historic

Founded in 1947 by Léo François, the company has retained a family shareholding. Since the company was bought out by the Vanderperre family, the investment strategy has been to increase the number of machines with the purchase of more and more powerful presses. This substantial machine park allows us to produce medium and large series.
